SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER - SCR is seeking an energetic, creative, and experienced Special Events Manager. This position reports directly to the Director of Development as a member of a dynamic eight-person Development team. In collaboration with staff and volunteers, this position is responsible for the budgeting, planning, design, and implementation of special events, which support SCR’s fundraising and other programs of the theatre, including an annual black-tie Gala Ball. Must have proven track record in special events fundraising and minimum 3 years experience in events planning. Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. TICKET SERVICES ASSISTANT - SCR is currently seeking customer friendly, theatre interested people for part time positions. This position performs all functions and duties associated with the operation of Ticket Services including: computerized ticket sales, provide general information, ticket exchanges, data entry, filing and to ensure and maintain the highest degree of customer service and other duties as assigned by management. Experience in theatre, box office, customer service and/or cashiering preferred. Must have a commitment to accuracy and detail. Must be able to deal with a wide variety of people over the phone and in person. Computer skills necessary. Various shifts available: weekdays, evenings and weekends, minimum of 15 hours per week. Hourly rate $8.25, free parking. Two free tickets for each production. COSTUME TECHNICIANS - The Costume Shop is looking for people interested in working on a per show basis. Positions include cutter/draper, first hand, stitcher, dresser, and crafts. Length of build varies from 2-5 weeks per production. Applicants must have professional experience or advanced degree in chosen area, and knowledge of operation of industrial workroom equipment. Wage is dependant on position and experience level, $10-$18 per hour. The shop’s normal hours of operation are 9:00-6:00 Monday thru Friday. STAGE MANAGEMENT INTERNS - SCR, a LORT B, C and TYA theatre is seeking Stage Management Interns for its 2008-2009 season of classical and new plays, produced in a two-theatre complex. Season runs from August through mid- June. As the interns will work with the resident stage management staff and will have responsibilities while in rehearsal and the production run(s), previous experience is desired. Part or full season internships are available for stipend and college credit. Opportunities include two or three full season internships and three or four partial season internships. Accepting applications from highly motivated students (graduate students encouraged) and recent graduates. Housing is not provided.
