Seminars Get a behind-the-scenes look by attending a FREE SCR Seminar! Audiences gather for insightful discussion about each SCR production, as seen through the eyes of the artists. Led by a member of the literary department, the seminars feature engaging dialogue with playwrights, directors and other artists, followed by an open Q&A session. Join us for this inside look at the latest SCR production. Seminars run from 7 to 8 p.m. from on the dates below.

Theatre doors will open at 6:45 p.m. on the night of the seminar. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Inside the Season Join us for interactive Saturday morning seminars that offer fascinating insights into our nine season productions. Conducted by members of the literary staff, these lively two-hour sessions feature in-depth interviews with cast members and artisans from SCR's production staff. Discover how many of the industry's most accomplished theatre professionals breathe life into plays on the Segerstrom and Julianne Argyros Stages. Audience questions and comments are encouraged, and participants are invited onstage to explore the set.
Sessions of "Inside the Season" take place 10:30am-12:30pm, usually preceding the second Saturday matinee of each production. Tickets are $12 per session and can be purchased in advance as well as at the door.
Guests for Inside the Season for Elemeno Pea include, from the production team, Elemeno Pea’s Director and SCR’s Artistic Director Marc Masterson. He has graciously agreed to spend the hour with us talking about the show and giving us insights into his process as a director. From the cast, Katrina Lenk, who plays Michaela, will join us. She’s trod the stages of SCR previously in The Caucasian Chalk Circle and the PPF readings of The Droll, Emilie and An Italian Straw Hat. In addition to Elemeno Pea, she’ll be appearing later in the season in Cloudlands. Join us as she shares her stories about tackling the role of Michalea.
Post-Show Discussion Series Following designated performances of Segerstrom and Argyros productions, a literary staff member (in most cases, the production dramaturg) moderates the informal question-and-answer sessions with actors from the cast. This unique opportunity to access firsthand information about the production from the actor's perspective—and to give them your immediate feedback—is guaranteed to enhance the theatre-going experience. Post-Show Discussions begin approximately five minutes after the end of the performance and typically last 20-30 minutes.
