As the narrator (Julia Ostmann, in rear) tells their story, Hermes (Jordan Bellow, left) separates Eurydice (Kendall Horn) from Orpheus (Mikey DeBenedetto) who remembers reaching for her again and again in SCR's Teen Players production of Metamorphoses. |
Classes meet weekly in SCR's safe, air-conditioned Folino Theatre Center complex.
The four-year YOUTH PROGRAM introduces students to the world of theatre through creative dramatics and acting experiences, with emphasis on development of self-esteem, self-confidence and personal expression.
The TEEN PROGRAM is a three-to-five year program for middle and high school students, who are continuing their training (or discovering a love of theatre for the first time). Emphasis is on personal and creative expression through exploration of the dramatic arts.
END-OF-YEAR PERFORMANCES - Fall and winter sessions conclude with in-class demonstrations for parents. At the end of the spring session parents and friends are invited to Performance Projects on SCR's Segerstrom, Argyros and Nicholas stages.
