South Coast Repertory Single Tickets Onsale

Single Tickets for SCR’s 45th Season on Sale August 11 A Christmas Carol and La Posada Mágica Tickets on Sale August 24

COSTA MESA, Calif. (August 6, 2008)—Single tickets for South Coast Repertory’s 45th Season will go on sale Monday, August 11. Tickets to SCR’s annual holiday presentations of A Christmas Carol and La Posada Mágica (The Magical Journey) will go on sale Sunday, August 24. Tickets may be purchased online at www.scr.org, by phone at (714) 708-5555 or in person at the SCR box office. Please visit the SCR website for a complete schedule of performance dates and times.

Segerstrom and Julianne Argyros Stage: Single tickets range from $20 - $70. The 2008-09 Season features An Italian Straw Hat: A Vaudeville (Sept. 5 – Oct. 5), dead man’s cell phone (Sept. 21 – Oct. 12), The Heiress (Oct. 17 – Nov. 16), You, Nero (Jan. 4 – 25), Noises Off (Feb. 6 – March 8), Goldfish (March 15 – April 5), (World Premiere TBA) (April 3 – May 3), Emilie – The Marquise du Châtelet Defends Her Life at the Petit Théâtre at Cirey Tonight (April 19 – May 10) and Collected Stories (May 15 – June 14). Discounts are available for full-time students, patrons 25 years of age and under, educators, seniors and groups of 15 or more.

Theatre for Young Audiences: Single tickets range from $17 to $28. The TYA season features Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (Nov. 7 – 23), A Year with Frog and Toad (Feb. 13 – March 1) and The Brand New Kid (May 29 – June 14). Discounts are available for children 12 and under.

Holiday Shows: A Christmas Carol will be presented on the Segerstrom Stage from Nov. 29 through Dec. 27 with ticket prices ranging from $23 - $55. La Posada Mágica (The Magical Journey) will be presented on the Julianne Argyros Stage from Dec. 11 – 23 with ticket prices ranging from $15 - $35. The Target Family Performance of La Posada Mágica on December 20 features a special 11am curtain time and low-priced tickets ($14 - $24). Holiday show discounts are available for children 12 and under, and groups of 15 or more. For group sales, call the SCR box office.

SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS: Subscriptions to SCR’s complete season of nine plays range from $324 to $495. Segerstrom Season subscriptions (5 plays) range from $175 to $275 and Julianne Argyros Season subscriptions (4 plays) $124 to $220, with additional discounts available for full-time students, patrons 25 years of age and under, educators, seniors and new patrons under 35 years of age. Theatre for Young Audience subscriptions consist of three plays and range from $45 to $78. NewSCRipts subscriptions to three Monday night readings and a special subscriber choice reading at the Pacific Playwrights Festival are $30.

Segerstrom Stage: Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm, Thursday - Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm.

Julianne Argyros Stage: Tuesday - Sunday evenings at 7:45 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm.

Theatre for Young Audiences: Previews: Friday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 4:30 pm, Sunday at 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm.
Regular Run: Friday at 7:00 pm; Saturday at 11:00 am, 2:00 and 4:30 pm; Sunday at 2:00 and 4:30 pm.

LOCATION: South Coast Repertory is located at 655 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, at the Bristol Street/Avenue of the Arts exit off the San Diego (405) Freeway in the Folino Theater Center, part of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Parking is available off Anton Blvd. on Park Center Drive.
