Junior and Teen Players
SCR’s Junior Players (grades 5-8), Teen Players (grades 9-12) and Summer Players (grades 5-12) present three productions annually in the Nicholas Studio. Players are chosen through audition from students in SCR Theatre Conservatory’s Kids and Teen Acting Classes.

SLEEPING BEAUTY by Charles Way directed by Mercy Vasquez March 24, 25, 31 and April 1, 2012 Nicholas Studio
It’s a fantastical world that’s totally hip! But this urban kingdom has a big problem—a curse has been put on its royal princess. There’s no way her half-dragon sidekick or the squabbling king and queen can prevent Briar Rose from falling into a 100-year sleep. It’s up to the timid prince from next door to wake her with a kiss. But first he must escape those sneaky-tricky fairies, solve the riddles of the all-powerful spider king and fight the dark (really, really dark!) witch. All he really needs is a little confidence in himself. Will he find it in time? You’ll see!
Recommended for ages 6 and above.
No babes in arms are allowed to any performance. No children under age four will be admitted to Junior Players performances. Regardless of age, everyone must have a ticket, sit in a seat and be able to sit quietly through the performance.
