Culture Clash (Ric Salinas, Richard Montoya and Herbert Siguenza) take on Orange County. Photo by Henry DiRocco/SCR.
Variety called them comic “masters,” and they’re at it again with their latest wildly wicked incarnation of city-specific shows, from the streets of San Francisco to bordertown Tijuana, from the Big Apple to Little Cuba. Now they’ve added Orange County to the mix. This explosion of brilliant ideas bursts forth in every direction with scenes that are political, social, satirical, ethnic, fearless, often moving and always hysterical.
Playwrights:
Culture Clash (Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza) returns to SCR with their patented blend of irreverent humor and shrewdly observed social satire. They have created works for the nation’s premier stages including The Birds, co-authored by SCR Associate Artistic Director John Glore, which had its World Premiere at SCR. Visit their website.

Recommendation and Resources:
This is definitely adult humor for high school and above, but it’s doubtful that anyone will be offended because Culture Clash is just plain fun. This production contains smoking.
