2011 Gala Ball THEATRE MAGIC: The Black & White Ball September 10, 2011 Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel For the first time in SCR Gala Ball history, a mother and daughter team will chair the event, which contributes the first—and one of the largest—donations to the theatre’s Annual Fund, in support of educational programs. From its early beginnings, the SCR Gala has been declared the traditional opener of the social and theatrical seasons, and the 2011 Gala will be no exception! In fact, this will be a season opener like never before, with a black and white theme that will carry over into the gowns, and possibly even masks. And because theatre is a magical art form, magic will be in the air—and everywhere. Those who love and support South Coast Repertory and its artistic contribution to the world of theatre will gather for this magical evening at the glamorous Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, launching SCR’s 48th Season in a celebratory way, with grand entertainment and the amazing J.T. and the California Dreamin’ band providing dancing until midnight as partygoers connect with longtime friends, meet new ones and have a (Gala) Ball!
