​​Erika Sheffer ​has written plays including Russian Transport at The New Group (Outer Critics Circle Award nomination) and Steppenwolf Theatre, as well as subsequent regional and international productions. The Fundamentals at Steppenwolf (Theatre Communications Group / Edgerton New Play Award) was featured as part of The Guggenheim Works in Process Series. Sheffer’s plays have been read and developed at Steppenwolf, The New Group, Vineyard Theatre, Geffen Playhouse, Atlantic Theater Company and Ars Nova. She is a recipient of Vineyard Theatre’s Paula Vogel Playwriting Award and an alumna of Ars Nova Playgroup and Space on Ryder Farm’s Working Farm Group. She has held commissions from Geffen Playhouse and Steppenwolf and is published by Dramatist Play Service. She earned a BFA from Syracuse University.
