Join us Monday, Aug. 31, at 5:30 p.m., as our online celebration of the legacy, history and family lineage of food continues. Juliette Carrillo sits down live with Playwright Octavio Solis. Best known to Orange County audiences for La Posada Mágica, which ran for 15 holiday seasons, Solis' relationship with SCR dates back more than three decades. He lent his talents to the blockbuster animated film Coco and wrote the critically acclaimed novel Retablos: Stories from a Life Lived Along the Border. Octavio now lives and writes on his working farm in Medford, Ore. In this entertaining interview, Octavio and wife Jeanne Sexton, former legal counsel for GATX Capital, chat with Juliette about raising chickens, goats and their venture into making goat cheese.Viewers will have the opportunity to submit questions during the livestream.
