Will David Copperfield become the hero of his own life? That was the question he pondered on the first page of the Charles Dickens masterpiece. Now his story comes to life onstage, beginning with the happy first years. His mother and his nurse are Davy’s teachers, and all the world is his classroom. After that, dramatic twists and turns befall him on the way to finding a place in life that may not be heroic but is truly blessed with love and family.

All the unforgettable characters—from caring to conniving— in David’s life are portrayed by SCR’s Teen Players, chosen through audition after at least two years in the Theatre Conservatory.  They’ll step forward to get him in—and out—of trouble.
