Mary Poppins

At the Banks home on Cherry Tree Lane, nannies come and go—mostly go. Wouldn’t you if the children put a toad in your bed and pepper in your tea? Then a mysterious (and practically perfect) nanny magically appears. Aided by her friend, Bert the carefree chimney sweep, she turns chores into games and shows the misbehaving children (and their uptight parents) that it’s the little things that keep a family together. And, if you reach for the heavens, you get the stars thrown in!

Thirty-two Summer Players (talented young actors who audition for roles in the annual show after at least a year in SCR’s Theatre Conservatory) portray children, parents, kite flyers, park strollers, stautes who come to life and more, all dancing and singing unforgettable songs like “Chim-Chim Cher-ee” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”— and happiness blooms!

The mysterious, magical (and practically perfect) Mary Poppins teams up with a carefree chimney sweep and proves to misbehaving children and their uptight parents that anything can happen if you let it.
