Two 18th-century misfits share a passionate tryst in a boathouse. Will their illicit lust lead to a lifelong commitment? Sorry, that’s so 1791. But when they are thrust forward to the present day, they discover that love hasn’t gotten any easier.

​​Julia Doolittle is thrilled to be bringing Love and Contracts to Pacific Playwrights Festival. Her work has been produced or developed at Victory Gardens Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Sam French Off-Off Broadway Festival, Rattlestick Playwright's Theatre, The Tank, Tiny Rhino, The Women's Project, Urban Stages, and Rogue Machine Theatre. She's a proud recipient of the Elizabeth George Commission from ​SCR, a semi-finalist for the O'Neill Summer Conference, and a finalist for the 2017 Heideman Award at the Humana Festival. She is a newly minted member of the Obie-Award winning playwrights' group, Youngblood.
