Our seasonal programming includes LORT B (mainstage), LORT D (second stage), and TYA contracts, as well as workshops and staged readings. SCR casts actors who are members of Actors Equity Association with some exceptions pending cast size. Non-union talent if often cast by actors in our local community as well as former and current students of SCR's Acting Intensive Program. Current LORT-AEA & TYA Actor weekly salaries range from $575-$1010 for our stages. Interested artists can submit their headshots and resumes by email to the casting office. FINANCE DIRECTOR
SCR is seeking a Finance Director to oversee the daily financial operations of the theatre.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of accounting and financial reporting for operating, PP&E and endowment funds; annual audit, tax reporting. This role serves as the primary liaison for portfolio managers (Canterbury Consulting). The Finance Director will work directly with the General Manager to provide a key function in all financial reporting for grants, surveys, and the budget.  This position also supervises the Accounting Department, including a Lead Accountant and Payables Accountant. A great fit for this role means you have an accounting or business management background with an interest in supporting the arts and/or nonprofit organizations. This position requires higher education (Accounting, Business, or Theatre Management) and/or 5+ years of related experience based on the level of responsibilities. Full position description, pay range, and application instructions may be found here.

HOUSE MANAGER (Part-Time)South Coast Repertory is seeking part-time House Managers to join our Front of House team to oversee the care and safety of our patrons in the lobby and theatre house, under the direction of the Front of House Manager. These positions are integral to the customer service and hospitality management of our seasonal programming. This position collaborates with the production, education, and special events teams to achieve our 10-show season, workshop readings, conservatory productions, and show premiere events. ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER – South Coast Repertory is seeking an Associate Production Manager to join as an essential member of the Production Management team, which includes a Production Manager and Production Coordinator.  This position focuses on coordinating of departmental scheduling and supporting production budget oversight for our 8-show season, conservatory productions, and other events, working alongside the Production Manager. The Associate Production Manager oversees production processes on our LORT B stage, LORT D stage, and experimental theatre space. TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – SCR seeks a Technical Director to lead and supervise our scenery department, which includes a full-time Assistant Technical Director, Master Carpenter, Automations Operator, and a part-time team of overhire carpenters. This team is responsible for budgeting, constructing/installing, and maintaining the show scenic elements for our 8-show season, conservatory productions, and special events. A great fit for this role means you enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of designers and leading a team of artisans with clear expectations for project completion dates and design execution. INTERIM ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR SCR seeks an Interim Assistant Technical Director to join the scenic department, which includes a full-time Technical Director (TD), Master Carpenter, Automation Operator, and a team of overhire carpenters. SCENIC ARTIST OVERHIRE – South Coast Repertory is seeking experienced Scenic Artists to join our overhire pool for our 23/24 season. These positions require a range of skills: layout, color matching and mixing, cartooning, sculpting, faux finishes, detail painting techniques, and experience with spray equipment. Fine art background and experience working in a fast paced shop environment are a plus. Overhires are hired on a project to project basis, $20/hr. HEAD CARPENTER -SCR seeks a Head Carpenter to assist with the leadership of our Scene Shop. This role is essential to the building and upkeep of the sets for our 8-show season, conservatory productions, and special events. A great fit for this role means you enjoy being a hands-on craftsman and team leader equally. This position works in support of the Technical Directors through scenic builds, load-ins, and strikes with a diverse team of staff and overhire carpenters. WIG, HAIR, & MAKEUP TECHNICIANS
South Coast Repertory is continuously accepting applications for Wig, Hair, & Makeup Technician crew members to help run our shows. General requirements include backstage experience, hair styling skills, makeup application skills, reliability, and strong people skills. Wig & facial hair experience is a plus, but we’re happy to teach necessary skills as needed. Wig, Hair, & Makeup Technicians are hired on a show-to-show basis with typical shows running 4-5 weeks and occasional sub coverage. Pay is $20/hr plus paid parking. PROP ARTISAN OVERHIRE – South Coast Repertory is currently seeking experienced Prop Artisans to join our overhire pool for our 23/24 season. These positions require a range of skills (but not necessarily all) of the following:  carpentry, metal working, welding, furniture building and restoration, upholstery, sewing, draperies, sculpting, casting, painting, and faux finishes. General requirements include applicable training or equivalent professional experience in the field, being comfortable working at heights, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong communication and collaborative skills. COSTUME SHOP OVERHIRES – The costume shop is continuously accepting applications for multiple roles. These part-time, temporary positions are filled on a show to show basis, which can vary from two to eight week engagements. Please note housing is not provided for these roles.
