Our seasonal programming includes LORT B (mainstage), LORT D (second stage), and TYA contracts, as well as workshops and staged readings. SCR casts actors who are members of Actors Equity Association with some exceptions pending cast size. Non-union talent if often cast by actors in our local community as well as former and current students of SCR's Acting Intensive Program. Current LORT-AEA & TYA Actor weekly salaries range from $575-$1010 for our stages. Interested artists can submit their headshots and resumes by email to the casting office. The Education Office is always considering new part-time teaching artists and office assistants. The pay ranges for each position are listed below and are based on experience. Please send your resumes to [email protected].

FACILITIES/OPERATIONS ASSISTANT –South Coast Repertory seeks part-time Facilities/Operations Assistants to join the Operations team. This role is responsible for routine maintenance and cosmetic improvements for the theatre’s three stages, rehearsal spaces, production warehouse, and offices. Other duties include fulfilling meeting/special event facility requests and ensuring theatre security during non-business hours. This position is the primary closer of the building and will be required to work nights and weekends as needed. TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - SCR seeks a Technical Director to lead and supervise our scenery department, which includes a full-time Assistant Technical Director, Master Carpenter, Automations Operator, and a part-time team of overhire carpenters. This team is responsible for budgeting, constructing/installing, and maintaining the show scenic elements for our 8-show season, conservatory productions, and special events. A great fit for this role means you enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of designers and leading a team of artisans with clear expectations for project completion dates and design execution. SCENIC CARPENTER – South Coast Repertory seeks Scenic Carpenters to be an essential member of the production team working with exciting directors, designers, and our experienced staff over a 12 show season that includes new works, festivals, youth conservatory and a summer outdoor repertory. Applicants should have a BA in theatrical construction or equivalent training and a solid understanding of scenic construction methods and best practices. SCENIC ARTIST OVERHIRE – South Coast Repertory is seeking experienced Scenic Artists to join our overhire pool for our 23/24 season. These positions require a range of skills: layout, color matching and mixing, cartooning, sculpting, faux finishes, detail painting techniques, and experience with spray equipment. Fine art background and experience working in a fast paced shop environment are a plus. Overhires are hired on a project to project basis, $20/hr. PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER - South Coast Repertory is seeking experienced AEA Stage Managers for our 22/23 and upcoming 23/24 seasons. SCR’s seasonal programming includes LORT B (mainstage), LORT D (second stage), and TYA contracts. Current LORT-AEA & TYA Stage Manager weekly salaries range from $765-$1205. HEAD CARPENTER -SCR seeks a Head Carpenter to assist with the leadership of our Scene Shop. This role is essential to the building and upkeep of the sets for our 8-show season, conservatory productions, and special events. A great fit for this role means you enjoy being a hands-on craftsman and team leader equally. This position works in support of the Technical Directors through scenic builds, load-ins, and strikes with a diverse team of staff and overhire carpenters. PROP ARTISAN OVERHIRE – South Coast Repertory is currently seeking experienced Prop Artisans to join our overhire pool for our 23/24 season. These positions require a range of skills (but not necessarily all) of the following:  carpentry, metal working, welding, furniture building and restoration, upholstery, sewing, draperies, sculpting, casting, painting, and faux finishes. General requirements include applicable training or equivalent professional experience in the field, being comfortable working at heights, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong communication and collaborative skills. COSTUME SHOP OVERHIRES – The costume shop is continuously accepting applications for multiple roles. These part-time, temporary positions are filled on a show to show basis, which can vary from two to eight week engagements. Please note housing is not provided for these roles. TICKET SERVICES REPRESENTATIVES – Passionate about the arts? South Coast Repertory seeks friendly, outgoing individuals to join the Box Office team as a part-time Ticket Services Representatives. Engage with patrons about our season, facilitate their ticketing needs, and uphold SCR’s high standard for customer service. Be part of a creative, fast-paced, collaborative environment with training provided. Must be equally confident serving customers in-person and over the phone.  15-20 hours per week with day, evening and weekend shifts available. Bilingual a plus.
