For nearly 60 years, support from Friends of SCR has ensured that SCR's dynamic onstage artistry and education programs continue to serve you and our community. Your support makes a difference and will:
- Provide thousands of Orange County school children access to live theatre with our free student matinee performances of our Theatre for Young Audiences
- Create world premiere productions on our stages from both acclaimed and up-and-coming playwrights including: Qui Nguyen (Vietgone and Poor Yella Rednecks), Kemp Powers (Little Black Shadows), Lauren Yee (Cambodian Rock Band), Richard Greenberg (A Shot Rang Out), and Lucas Hnath (A Doll's House, Part 2).
- Engage and extend our reach into the Southern California community with new and innovative programs including Outside SCR at Mission San Juan Capistrano.
Please help keep award-winning theatre an important and ongoing part of our community. Become a Friend of SCR with your tax-deductible gift today. Thank you!
“This is not just providing theatre to an audience. This is about kids feeling invited, welcomed, included, and it’s about opening their minds. There are just so many benefits to it that exceed just the theatre experience that we, as adults, sometimes take for granted.
“It is our immense honor to be a part of the SCR family and support the talent and diversity that SCR offers to our community. Orange County is fortunate to have this award-winning theatre in our midst and we are committed to see that this important work continues.
