The Longest Table
In celebration of The Heart Sellers by Lloyd Suh, South Coast Repertory is hosting The Longest Table, a community event bringing people together for a shared potluck-style meal and meaningful conversation to build joy and build community. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
Saturday, Nov. 8
5 to 7 p.m.
Outside on Ela’s Terrace at SCR
Guests will fill their plates with food provided by our community partners, other guests, and volunteers. Then, they will dine at a communal table, sitting next to new friends met that evening. Guests are encouraged to chat casually, and each section of the table will have a different conversation prompt available. The evening also includes live entertainment and brief remarks from our community partners.
SCR will supply tables, linens, place settings, water, soft drinks and coffee. A cash bar will be available.
You can participate in multiple ways:
- Be a Guest: Dine, socialize, bring a friend (or two!), and catch that day’s matinee or evening performance of The Heart Sellers. You’ll be sent a discount code to use when purchasing your play tickets. While it is not required to attend, guests are encouraged to bring a dish/snack to share. No dish? No problem!
- Be a Volunteer: Confirm you’ll bring a dish to share or help serve or greet guests. We will contact you closer to the date to confirm how you can assist.
- Be a Community Partner: Host one of the food tables by providing enough food for 8–10 people, buffet style. You’ll have the chance to speak about your organization and will receive four complimentary tickets to a performance of The Heart Sellers.
Won’t you join us? Please fill out the form below to tell us how you’d like to participate and we’ll be in touch!
