Announcing the 2025 Cast of "A Christmas Carol"
You’ll recognize some familiar faces in the cast of A Christmas Carol this year—and a few new members. Richard Doyle returns as Ebenezer Scrooge, haunted by Michael Manuel as the Ghost of Marley, Jennifer Parsons as the Spirit of Christmas Past, Richard Soto as the Spirit of Christmas Present and Nick Slimmer as the Spirit of Christmas Yet-to-Come. Louis Lotorto, Sharon Omi and Awni Abdi-Bahri, who have all been on the SCR stage in recent years, return after several years as Bob Cratchit, Mrs. Fezziwig and Belle, respectively, while Diana Burbano returns in a new role as Mrs. Cratchit.
The talented young people who round out the cast began rehearsals last week. These 16 kids, all students in SCR’s Youth Conservatory, auditioned for their roles after spending at least a year taking classes. Unlike the adult cast, the kids cast is split into two groups of 8—The Red Team and The Green Team. The teams alternate performances, so don’t forget to check your program when you sit down to see the show!
The Red Team (above center, top row, left to right) Aya Hanai, Megan Chan, Presley Coogan, Matthew Chan, (bottom row) Penelope Main, Beatrice Main, Saher Chawla and Thomas Lindleyas the Cratchit children. The Green Team includes (above bottom, top row, left to right) Tessany Azizi, Isaac Person, Taylor Hershelman, Fiona Nguyen (bottom row) Ivy Granadino, Natalie Yokota, Elliot Lee and Yunah Choi as the Cratchit children.
