Meet the Creative Team of "Million Dollar Quartet"

Million Dollar Quartet is the story of one unforgettable night and four extraordinary musicians, but there is no Million Dollar Quartet without the creative talent working behind the scenes to bring that night to life.

Some are Broadway veterans. Some are long-time SCR collaborators. One is making his SCR design debut. One got her design start with Team USA Synchronized Swimming. Combined, they have contributed to hundreds of designs around the country.

Colin Escott (Book) is a Grammy Award-winning, country and rock-and-roll music authority. He is the author of Good Rockin’ Tonight: Sun Records and The Birth of Rock-and-Roll, as well as Hank Williams—The Biography, which was adapted into the movie I Saw the Light starring Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen. Escott was part of the writing and producing team for CMT’s “Sun Records,” the miniseries based on Million Dollar Quartet.

Floyd Mutrux (Book) has conceived, written, directed or produced 50 films, including Dusty and Sweets McGee; Blood In, Blood Out; Mulholland Falls and The Hollywood Knights. He apprenticed at Alley Theatre in Houston and worked at Second City in Chicago. He cowrote the musical Baby It’s You! with Colin Escott and was also part of the team to adapt “Sun Records.” With his wife Birgitte, he is preparing a new film, Moon Over Memphis, described as a rock-and-roll Field of Dreams.
