Co-Founder Harmon Kong and his wife, Lea—an SCR Board Trustee since 2019—are passionate advocates for the arts, and together they serve as Chairs of this fall’s reimagined Gala, PEEK! Laurie & Steve Duncan (Honorary Producers) have a remarkable history of leadership and support that stretches far and wide, having helped underwrite eight other productions including Prelude to a Kiss, The Musical, Once, the world premiere comedy The Siegel and the Theatre for Young Audience’s Snow White. They are also four-time Honorary Producers of the Pacific Playwrights Festival, helping give emerging and established playwrights a vital platform to showcase their new work. Laurie and Steve have consistently championed great plays and musicals and expanded access to live theatre for all ages. Their generosity has nurtured artists and initiatives that continue to shape SCR’s artistic legacy. Steve, a past Board President, served 10 years on SCR’s Board of Trustees. In 2019, Laurie and Steve also chaired SCR’s annual Gala, Play Your Part.
Susan Shieldkret & David Dull (Honorary Producers) have underwritten productions for the past eight consecutive seasons, demonstrating extraordinary dedication to SCR’s artistic mission. They were enthusiastic supporters of Outside SCR, and this marks their second time serving as Honorary Producers of Million Dollar Quartet. Susan and David have been steadfast advocates for new works, previously serving as Honorary Producers for several world premieres, including Joan (2024), The Canadians (2019), and as members of the Playwrights Circle. Longtime Opening Nights subscribers, they began attending SCR in 2003 and are Platinum Circle donors. Susan, an SCR Board Trustee, served as Gala Co-Chair in 2020 and currently chairs the Major Gifts & Circles Committee. Their commitment to nurturing emerging voices and supporting live theatre makes a meaningful impact on SCR and the greater community.
