We’re Hosting a Food Drive

During the run of The Heart Sellers, SCR will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Orange County Food Bank, which relies heavily on local support to provide meals to those in need. Donated food helps them save costs, leverage other resources and stock empty pantry shelves. Theatregoers are invited to bring their items to the theatre on their performance night, place them on the dining table in the lobby and, in return, take away a discount offer to see Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, running in repertory Jan. 23-Mar. 21. 

Our goal is to collect 300 pounds of the food bank’s most needed items, which include:

• Canned meat or fish
• Canned fruit and vegetables
• Peanut butter
• Dried beans
• Pasta
• Rice
• Cereal

SCR staff have joined in the cause, too – let’s all work together to provide nutritious food for our neighbors in need.
