PEEK! turns South Coast Repertory into Orange County's most entertaining night, an immersive journey through backstage spaces most patrons never see, inspired by Into the Woods.
Saturday, October 3, 2026
5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
For last-minute tickets to PEEK!, please contact Steven Garry at 714-708-5060.
Another dinner. Another auction. Another night you forget by Monday. Supporters who help make a season possible deserve to feel like part of the story, not just an audience for it. PEEK! puts you backstage instead of in a folding chair.
SCR is thrilled to announce Carmen Cusack and James Moye as the headline performers for PEEK! We’re delighted to welcome these two extraordinary Broadway talents to the stage at PEEK! for an unforgettable one-night-only musical performance.
Carmen Cusack starred on Broadway in Flying Over Sunset, earning a second Tony Award nomination. She was previously nominated for her acclaimed lead performance in Bright Star. Her Off-Broadway/Tour credits include Call Me Madam (Encores!), Carrie (MCC Theater), South Pacific (Tour) and Wicked (Tour). Cusack’s West End/UK credits include Les Misérables, The Secret Garden, Personals, Phantom of the Opera and Over the Rainbow. Regionally, Cusack’s credits include Bull Durham (Paper Mill Playhouse, Theatre Raleigh), 3 Summers of Lincoln (La Jolla Playhouse), Sweeney Todd (The Muny), Designing Women (TheatreSquared), First Wives Club (Chicago) and Sunday in the Park with George (Chicago Shakespeare). Cusack appeared in the films A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and American Fiction, and on TV in “Sorry For Your Loss” (Facebook).
James Moye is a familiar face to SCR audiences, where he directed both the 2022 and 2025 productions of Million Dollar Quartet and appeared in the 2024 world premiere of Prelude to a Kiss, The Musical as Rita’s Dad. Moye has appeared in 10 Broadway shows, including Dear Evan Hansen, Aladdin, Tootsie, Million Dollar Quartet, On the Twentieth Century, Bullets Over Broadway, Ragtime, A Tale of Two Cities, Urinetown and The Full Monty. Moye’s on-camera credits include “Fair Game” with Sean Penn, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “The Blacklist,” “Royal Pains,” “The Mysteries of Laura,” “The Today Show” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He returns to Broadway this December as Kenny Rogers in the new musical, DOLLY: A True Original Musical. Moye is a graduate of James Madison University, where he received the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award.
And that’s not all! The evening will also come to life with special immersive performances by select cast members from SCR’s 2026 production of Into the Woods.
Don’t miss your chance to see these incredible performers live at PEEK!
We were swept away by the magic of theatre and delighted to find ourselves being part of that magic.
I’ve attended a lot of galas in support of the arts and PEEK! by far was the most innovative and fun. My guests loved the backstage experience and meeting the technicians, artists and actors who make it all happen on stage.
Every great story has a path into the woods, a place just off the trail where things get a little more interesting. This October, we are inviting you off the trail and behind the curtain for an immersive evening of unexpected encounters, creative cuisine and a one-night-only performance.
PEEK! is SCR's single largest fundraiser. What you help raise this fall provides foundational support for the entire 2026/27 season, plus the youth education programs that bring thousands of students into the theatre for the first time. We have built something genuinely different this year, and we would love for you to be part of it.

PEEK! is such a memorable evening. There is an energy and intimacy to the experience that makes you feel genuinely connected to South Coast Repertory and the incredible work happening both onstage and behind the scenes. It is meaningful, engaging, and most of all, a lot of fun. It is the kind of evening you are still talking about long after it is over.
At PEEK!, the magic doesn’t happen on stage—it happens all around you. Musicians serenading you, costume designers welcoming you into their world, stories of local kids finding their voice. My guests forgot they were at a fundraiser. That’s SCR.
