Sensory-Friendly/Relaxed Performances
We understand that for some members of our community, live theatre can be an overwhelming sensory and social experience. To offer everyone in our community the opportunity to experience the wonders of live theatre, SCR will present sensory-friendly/relaxed performances for select productions throughout the season.
For regular performances, you are welcome to look through SCR's Pre-Visit Guides, which explain every step of the theatre-going experience in simple language.
For Patrons with Hearing Needs
The Segerstrom and Julianne Argyros stages offer assistive listening devices from Listen Technologies. These feature a rich, personalized sound from any seat in the house. This device works in conjunction with a personal hearing device. Headsets may be checked out from concessions in the lobby with a photo ID or credit card deposit before the performance (subject to availability).
American Sign Language (ASL)-Interpreted Performances
We offer ASL-interpreted performances for the deaf, hard-of-hearing and ASL community. Seats near the interpreters are nearly always located stage right, facing the stage. Patrons wishing to sit in the section near the interpreters may purchase $25** tickets for these performances:
