Meet the “Seussical” Cast

Rehearsals began this past week for the Summer Players production of Seussical, music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, book by Ahrens and Flaherty, co-conceived by Ahrens, Flaherty and Eric Idle and based on the works of Dr. Seuss. Seussical, directed by Hisa Takakuwa, with music direction by Erin McNally, runs for eight performances Aug. 3-11 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.

The Summer Players are some of the best and the brightest from SCR’s Youth Conservatory. To perform in the Summer Players, they have to complete at least a year in the conservatory, then audition for their roles.

Experience a magical, musical extravaganza, live on stage, with all your favorite Dr. Seuss characters!  The Cat in the Hat and Horton the Elephant take you on a journey from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the World of the Who’s—and a little boy with a big imagination proves that a person is a person, no matter how small.
